The adventure trip Logan Mount is an independent ascent of the East ridge of Mount Logan 5959M from the Malaspina glacier, Pacific Ocean Altitude 0 Descent by the same route with skis, snowboard and monoski to the base camp of the East ridge, bypassing the summit by the North to join Hubert’s landing then descent in cataraft to Flag point, Pacific Ocean.
Long distance crossing, from April 29th to June 10th 2019, between Wranggle St-Elias (USA) and Kluane (CA) parks. Approximately 600KM covered on ski touring, split board (snowboard and monoski) and cataraft.
By Hélias Millerioux, Alex Marchesseau, Thomas Delfino and Grégory Douillard. Expedition in 4 phases:
1- Approach (Pacific Ocean-CB Logan) :
Departure by fishing boat from Yakutat village (Alaska, Pacific Ocean) on April 28th
2- East bridge of mount Logan L-R.
Base Camp on the “East ridge” 2100M of Mount Logan is reached on May 14 using Pulkas to carry the 320KG of gear (food, camping and mountaineering supplies).

3- Return (CB-Hubert’s Landing).
On May 27, Greg was evacuated for medical reasons. The following days, the three adventurers cross the Canada/USA border again, but the snow of the Logan glacier gradually gives way to ice and then to endless moraines, a veritable labyrinth of mineral Minos where the drone takes on a cartographic vocation, to find the least energy-consuming route to survey, with bags weighing more than 35KG each
4- Cataraft (Hubert’s-Flag point, Pacific Ocean).
Hélias and Alex embarked for eight days and more than 300 KM through the rapids of the Chitina and Copper Rivers. They docked on June 10th at Flag Point.
The trip came full circle after 42 days of total immersion in the American wilderness. A trip lived day by day with the aim of irrepressibly “losing” themselves to better “find” themselves internally.

During this adventure trip Logan Mount, all electronic equipment was charged by POWERTEC solar chargers and powerbanks during 42 days !

The charge of the Maveric Pro Drone with the Powertec panel was essential in the passage of the Logan glacier: the ice and then the endless moraines, a veritable labyrinth of mineral Minos where the drone took on a cartographic vocation, to find the least energy-consuming route to survey, with bags weighing more than 35KG each.
